Brief History

In 1894. When the game was first played , peach baskets were nailed up to each end of the gymnasium as “goals”, hence the origin of the name “basketball”. The basketball was really called Peach basket and it is more than without dribbling than dribbling the ball, because it’s purpose is to score and shoot that’s why it’s called peach basket. This generation the basketball change every game of it. The basketball is a game changer. Because it is a sport that needs a incredible thinking skills or IQ and strategy to every skills of the player, you need to study about their mindset, skills, and training strategy. This era of basketball. There are people who are gifted in playing ball or what we called “hooping” and people are passionate to play. They are motivated to play it because they have each heroes that play passionately the basketball. One of my favorite or one of the greatest basketball player of all time is no other than Michael Jordan.

Who invented basketball?

The man who invented this sport is no other than the Doctor from Almonte, Ontario in province of Canada and this man is the one who moved to United states and introduce his own invented sport “ The game of Basketball”. The college was the International YMCA training school and the game was invented to provide indoor activity for trainee YMCA leaders.
Dr. James Naismith is known world-wide as the inventor of basketball. He was born in 1861 in Ramsay township, near Almonte, Ontario, Canada. The concept of basketball was born from Naismith’s school days in the area where he played a simple child’s game known as duck-on-a-rock outside his one-room schoolhouse. The game involved attempting to knock a “duck” off the top of a large rock by tossing another rock at it. Naismith went on to attend McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
